The Kiss is the first in a series exploring interactions and emotions between two people in a relationship. Each vase depicts a head. The heads fit together like a puzzle - one head literally holding up the other. Each head can also sit in a different orientation, creating a new interaction or interpretation as well as offering the possibility of functioning as a flower vase. The series also experiments with flattening volumes and depicting the face more as an assemblage of reliefs versus fully rendered forms.
