Rainy Day
$170
4 x 8 x 8
Porcelain, wheelthrown, hand decorated, oxidation kiln.
This pottery piece reminds me of the view in our music room, peering out from the bay window on a rainy day; thirsty flowers getting a good drink; the pitter-patter of rain mixed with sonorous sounds of the piano, creating perfect harmony in a quiet room. Leaning against the ledge of the bay window, I chase racing raindrops with my finger, and searching through a rain curtain with wonder…I sip a cup of coffee.
Misty Spring Plate
$150
2 x 11 x 11
Porcelain, wheelthrown, hand decorated, oxidation kiln.
Spring morning air. It smells green and earthy, feels chilly and quiet: how can I transform a sense of smell and feel into visible images? Experimenting, exploring and testing a panoply of glazes to capture the fleeting moment of nature and atmosphere, bringing to life through my pottery, to share a fragment of the beautiful experience at my dinner table.
