Anubis

Glazed Brown stoneware
This sculpture was created in response to the loss of a family member during the Pandemic. It was inspired by the pair of wooden Anubis in the Harvard Art Museum's Egyptian collection. The God Anubis protects and guides the deceased to the underworld.
Reclining Milkweed
$795
5.5 x 17 x 6.5
Sculpture/Vase : Clay, Wood Fired to Cone 11 : Shino and Oribe Glazes
This sculptural vase is inspired by the explosion of milkweed pods and the dispersal their seeds in early fall on Cape Cod. Delicate and prolific, the seeds take flight and fill the air leaving behind the most beautiful vessels. This is that vessel.
