The Duo Mug Sets are each a playful team of two mugs meant to stack foot to lip in either combination or set side by side facing each other handles out. The intent is that when set out for tea for two the pattern plays out across both forms.

Lissette was a wonderful model. It was a pleasure to work with her.

I always find clay's connection to physical landscape impossible to sever and I love inventing new forms mimicking that connection. I use recycled building construction materials to prop up the landscape and to play with the notions home and habitat. The foam in particular began as a visual pun referencing humans' tendency to insulate ourselves from the knowledge of a collapsing environment and our complacency therein.
